Reduced Meat Consumption: from Multicriteria Argument Modelling to Agent-Based Social Simulation

چکیده
A second nutrition transition seems to be emerging towards more plant-based diets, curbing meat consumption in developed countries at the beginning of 21st century. This shift suggests that rational arguments tend influence an increasing number individuals adopt vegetarian diets. work aimed understand and simulate impact different types messages on choice change food diets individual level, diffusion opinions collective level. It provided two results: (1) a network around is modelled using abstract argumentation approach. Each argument, formalized by node, was connected with other arrows, thus formalizing relationships between arguments. methodology made it possible formalize argument about identify importance health compared ethical or also identified key as result their high centrality being challenged challenging The results constructing this suggested any controversy surrounding will polarized such health. Even though few appeared our network, concerning necessity not animal products for humans were indirectly choices diets; (2) agent-based simulation social practices then introduced. purpose capture balance vs. meat-based contributes modelling consumer exploring values external influences pressure, communication campaigns sanitary, environmental crises.

Multi-Agent Based Modelling: from Social Simulation to Real Time Strategy Games
Simulation has been regarded as the third way to represent social models, alternative to other two symbol systems: the verbal argumentation and the mathematical one. Simulation can be processed by a computer and is particularly suited for complex systems, in which the aggregate behaviour is not necessarily the sum of the sincle parts. Agent Based Modelling (ABM) is for sure the most interesting...
متن کاملModelling Social Relationships through a Fuzzy Agent-Based Simulation
Social relationships such as friendship and partner choice are ruled by the proximity principle, which states that themore similar two individuals are, themore likely theywill become friends. However, proximity, similarity, and friendship are concepts with blurred edges and imprecise grades of membership. This study shows how to simulate these friendship dynamics in an agent-based model that ap...
متن کاملAgent Based Simulation for Social Systems: From Modeling to Implementation
This paper presents experimental results of our model-driven approach to agent based simulation. According to this, the development process for agent based simulation should focus on modeling rather than implementation (i.e., programming on some concrete agent simulation platform). This requires the use of transformation tools from simulation models to implementation code. Describing social phe...
متن کاملMulti Agent Based Simulation: Beyond Social Simulation
Multi Agent Based Simulation (MABS) has been used mostly in purely social contexts. However, compared to other approaches, e.g., traditional discrete event simulation, object-oriented simulation and dynamic micro simulation, MABS has a number of interesting properties which makes it useful also for other domains. For instance, it supports structure preserving modeling of the simulated reality, ...

versus Descriptive. Models can vary in the degree to which they attempt to incorporate the detail of particular targets. An example of a model which aims to be a detailed representation of a specific location and the developments there is the work by Dean et al. (1999) on the Long House Valley, in northern Arizona near Monument Valley. The model covers a time from about A.D. 400 to 1400 and con...
